Obituary of Donald John Yarosh Jr.

Please share a memory of Donald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald John "Donnie" Yarosh Jr., a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother. Donald passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at the age of 66 in his residence following a short illness.

Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, on Friday, November 8th, 1957, Donald was known for his warm spirit, dedication to his craft, and love for his family. He spent his career immersed in the intricate and delicate art of antique restoration. Through his work at American Woodworks, Donald breathed new life into the past with each piece he restored, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Elaine Woodley Yarosh, his loving mother, K Yarosh; his two sons, Landon and Graylyn Yarosh; step-children, Kim and Woody; and his grandchildren, Allie, Hendrix, and Kingsley, who brought immense joy to his later years. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Deb Yarosh, with whom he shared a lifelong bond. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald John Yarosh Sr.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Donald was a passionate animal lover. In honor of his life, the family requests that donations be made to the Aiken County Animal Shelter, 333 Wire Road, Aiken, SC, 29801—the love of animals was a cause dear to Donald's heart.

Donald will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his artistic spirit, and the indelible mark he left on the lives of those who knew him. While we mourn his passing, we also honor the wonderful memories he leaves behind—a legacy of love and craftsmanship that will endure for generations to come.
