As a fellow Taneytownian and Cedar Creeker, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the entire Nusbaum family. Although several years my senior I remember Dean (and Thelma) well from our days at Taneytown Jr-Sr High. I especially remember one day I was walking home from school passing by his Dad's Cannery (while canning tomatos), I dropped something and when I bent over to pick it up, I felt something hit me in the butt. That was Dean. He had thrown a ripe tomato that splattered squarely on it's target. He loved a good laugh and apologized for being so accurate. We had lunch together several years ago at the Cedar Creek Pub and relived some of our old Taneytown memories. He was really a good guy and I am sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace.

It is with utmost sadness that Sherri and I note the passing of Dean who was always a pillar of friendliness and epitomized the camaraderie of Cedar Creek from the time we first met he and his life partner Thelma as we first moved to Cedar Creek in 2001. Neighbors for over 23 years, Dean will be sorely missed but we know he will be joyously reunited with his beloved Thelma.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dean's family. I'm a member of Keysville Lutheran Church and remember Dean and Thelma coming to church. They were such nice people to chat with. May God give all of you comfort and peace at this time.

My condolences go out to Dean's family upon his passing.
Dean indeed loved golf and was a member of the Misfits at the Cedar Creek Golf Club. This was our informal golf group that played as often a three times a week. He always impressed our members that, regardless of age, he was up for a game. The score didn't matter. It was always about getting out and enjoying the comaraderie of his fellow players.
I know that he was proud of his three sons and would mention them frequently. He loved playing with them when they came to visit.
Kevin, Kendal, and Karry (and Dean's extended family) have much to be proud of, in return.
Christopher Wilhelm
Best wishes to all and God's speed, Dean.
