Obituary of Richard Edward Willis

     Richard E. Willis, 71, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024. Rick was born in Aiken, graduated from Aiken High School, attended USCA and the University of South Carolina in Columbia. 
     Rick enjoyed playing golf, surfing, being at the beach, playing music, and spending time with his friends and family. 
Working with the Willis Blume Agency, Rick was a drummer, playing for numerous beach & variety bands throughout the Southeast, as well as the Sam Kimbrell Trio on Hilton Head Island. He was also a vice president with R.H. Realty & Vacation Rentals in Hilton Head.
     Rick was predeceased in death by his father Bill Willis, mother Betty Willis, sister Brenda Willis Bodie, as well as his grandparents George & Lizze Walker.
     He is survived by his younger brother Michael Willis of Aiken, and three nephews, Jake Willis of Mt. Pleasant, Luke Willis of Greenville and Jason Bodie of Mt. Pleasant,  SC.
     A graveside service is planned for Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00am at Pentecost United Methodist Church, 2497 Pinelog Rd., Warrenville, SC 29851.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials may also be made to the church.
